Saying that Bériot has told him of the offer Smart has made to Thalberg to appear in a Festival concert in September, that he will only prolong his stay in England if Smart can arrange engagements for him in the four "Meetings" in Norwich, Liverpool, Worcester, and Manchester, adding that his fee for the four Meetings is 500 guineas.
